Whether you’re in search of an easy, tasty recipe for soft, gooey chocolate chip cookies to make for a birthday party, or just to have for dessert with some ice cream after a Sunday meal, this recipe is the one to use! It’s the best! We make these cookies pretty often and they NEVER disappoint – I always get compliments on them! They’re my kids favorite cookies and I love eating them too – they’re great with a cup of coffee in the morning (don’t judge my occasion breakfast indulgence)! If you like these Reese’s piece no-bake cookies, you’ll love this recipe too!

Chocolate chip cookie ingredients

3/4 cup granulated white sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 stick of softened butter
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package of chocolate chips

Chocolate chip cookie recipe

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix the sugars, butter and eggs in a bowl. Stir in the flour, vanilla, baking powder and salt. The dough may be a little stiff. Mix in the chocolate chips.

Use a tablespoon or your hands to place rounded dough on an ungreased cookie sheet leaving about two inches between each ball of dough. Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from the oven. Let cool slightly, then use a spatula to take the cookies off the cookie sheet and let them continue to cool on a metal rack (or paper towels)!

This recipe makes approximately 24 cookies.

There is nothing quite like warm, fresh-baked cookies and a glass of cold milk. Hope you love this chocolate chip cookie recipe!
