Lori Lori is a work-at-home mom of three living in Noblesville, Indiana.

This homemade alfredo sauce recipe was given to me by a friend and I love it. It’s too good not to share! As much as I love to eat alfredo sauce in Italian restaurants, the kind from a jar doesn’t do it for me.

This alfredo sauce is really easy to make, too, requiring only a few ingredients and literally five minutes at most. It is perfect poured over some fettuccine noodles. I also serve it with pan-seared, bite-sized pieces of chicken breast cooked with some garlic powder.

Homemade alfredo sauce ingredients:

1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup milk
1 8-ounce block of cream cheese
A couple shakes of garlic powder (to taste)

Homemade alfredo sauce directions:

Put all ingredients in a pot over medium to medium-high heat and let melt together. After a few minutes, you can stir with a whisk to blend all ingredients. Once it’s hot and mixed together well, turn the heat down. It’s important not to let the alfredo sauce sit for too long or it may separate a little. Continue to stir until you serve it so the sauce doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot.

This sauce is so good you will feel like you are eating in a fancy Italian restaurant! Add some noodles, chicken and bread sticks and you can enjoy a delicious and fancy meal any night of the week. This homemade alfredo sauce recipe will quickly become a favorite and allows you to make a great meal at home for family or friends.

Use this berry bars recipe for dessert or serve up some fresh fruit and a scoop of ice cream for the perfect meal.
